Swarovski Pearls

Swarovski Pearls

The luster of Swarovski pearls is exceptional, even when compared to a high-end South Sea pearl necklace worth around $5,000 (The necklace made of large pearls is the South Sea pearl).

The most crucial factor in determining a pearl's quality is its luster. You can see that the Swarovski pearl reflects the light source and shooting environment better than the South Sea pearls. This is indeed due to Swarovski's outstanding technology, but it's also a feature of South Sea pearls, which have a slightly softer light reflection (known as satiny luster).
Since South Sea pearls are formed in the ocean over a long period, they naturally have some imperfections upon close observation. On the other hand, Swarovski pearls are almost perfect on the surface because they are man-made imitation pearls.

For these reasons, Swarovski has been praised by professional pearl graders for its exceptional ability to replicate cultured pearls.
